💡 Clinical Pearl: Neonatal Sepsis Looks Different
Don't expect fever in neonates with sepsis.
Neonates may present with:
• Hypothermia (<36°C) instead of fever
• Poor feeding
• Subtle lethargy
• Temperature instability
A "cold" baby can be a septic baby.
Low threshold for concern in any neonate <28 days.
