💡 Sometimes the Best Treatment Is No Treatment

Permissive hypertension applies when ALL 3 criteria are met:

1. Patient NOT receiving reperfusion (no tPA, no EVT)
2. BP <220/120
3. No acute comorbidity (MI, HF, dissection)

That elevated BP may be protecting the ischemic penumbra. Treat it, and you may turn a recoverable stroke into permanent disability.
