✅ Reality: Many septic patients are afebrile. Some are hypothermic — which is actually WORSE.

qSOFA doesn't include temperature for a reason. The 3 criteria (RR, mentation, BP) reflect organ dysfunction, not infection presence.

Hypothermia in sepsis carries higher mortality than fever.

Don't wait for fever to suspect sepsis.
